Guided Game Drives
Explore Limpokwena Nature Reserve with a trained and qualified field guide on our game drives. You will be stunned by the transforming scenery on a network of tracks leading from the thick riverine forest along the water’s edge, snaking through the vibrant Mopane thickets, and then eventually opening up into the magnificent immensity of the acacia savannah. View one of our curious Giraffes, or any of the antelope species in unparalleled proximity as they stop and pose for a photo. We recommend you stay at least 2 nights to get a full experience of the surrounding nature, while also leaving ample time to unwind.
Guided Bush Walks
Explore on foot with our ranger. Look at all the little things that one usually misses. You are really close to nature when walking.

For the avid birders, our proximity to Botswana and our location at the meeting of two rivers brings a myriad of over 300 species to us. We are located along the Soutpansberg-Limpopo Birding Route as recognized by BirdLife South Africa. With one of the most exceptional locations to tick off the elusive Pel’s Fishing Owl (with 2 of only 50 recorded breeding pairs in South Africa!), we offer specialized birding drives where we can spend time ticking off some rare lifers, such as the African Openbill, Saddle-billed Stork, Ground Hornbill, Meyer’s Parrot, and white-backed night Heron and many more!.
Enjoy fishing in our untainted waters. Catch and release only!
We have comfy chairs and our scouts can help with baiting if necessary. Bring your own gear and bait.
