Community Upliftment
Limpokwena strives itself on making a positive impact not only through conservation within the reserve, but through community involvement and education in the surrounding communities too.
As part of Limpokwena’s contribution to the community, we have been able to make various donations to surrounding projects who may be in need of support.
Our past projects have included:
Quebeka Bikes
All our employees were gifted a brand new Quebeka bike in 2017 to ensure everyone had a reliable mode of transport for provisions or medical care, especially in these rural locations where public transport may be limited.
Their bikes came with a repair kit, and helmets so that maintenance could be undertaken onsite and they are safe while on the road.

Financial Assistance
We have also been able to make financial donations with thanks to the support from visiting guests where a portion of the fees can be used for important causes such as these.
So far we have been able to make contributions towards:
Briershof Primary School
Briershof Primary School in Alldays for much needed classroom refurbishments.

Alldays Secondary School
Alldays Secondary School for their Winter School Campaign which provided meals and school lessons for a week during school holidays. We were also able to donate 6 laptops to the school after they suffered a break-in, and some vital teaching equipment was stolen.
This has meant the most to the teachers who lost vital tools in their lesson planning and execution, so to be able to assist with these laptops was a great assistance for them.

Community Clean-Ups
Limpokwena strives to lead by example, and as an example of this we are regularly trying to take part in community clean-ups. This involves a full day out clearing litter from the streets and public spaces and dumping it at the local municipal dumpsite. This is done in conjunction with local schools, and municipal departments to cover as much ground as possible!

If you’re interested in taking part in our next clean-up or if there is some way you would like to contribute please feel free to send us an email at: syanne@limpokwena.co.za
We believe that every bit helps, and a small change can lead to big results.
